Delivering profitability for all through community growth.
In 1991, native Memphian James Wesley Gibson II (JW) had a vision. He wanted to support community growth by creating businesses that strengthened major industries in the Mid-South.
JW has been known to say, “I am bullish on Memphis.” He envisioned a family of companies, which would collaborate and interact with local businesses in order to improve the fiscal, cultural and social fabric of the community. He formed Gibson Companies (GCI) with a focus on three areas: healthcare, housing and entertainment.
Over time, the GCI family of companies grew to include The Premier Group, Southeast Regional Development Corporation and Tec-Print.
